Being a soccer player, I went in thinking yoga was going to be a piece of cake but quickly found out how much work it was. Each time we tried something new, it presented a new challenge for me. Each time we tried a new flow, it was an opportunity for me to learn. Although, I am sure that if I did it more that I could learn to tolerate it. Overall, this year we were able to work on the 5 health components by practicing yoga 3 times a week and completing 2 strava activities. The variety in the flows allowed most of what we did to target all 5 components in a single session (Muscular strength, Muscular endurance, Cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, and Mental health). I found that I was not very strong in the flows that required flexibility but did well in flows requiring strength or endurance. One of my favorite flows was our Vinyasa flows, they always were a good workout and made me feel pretty good afterwards. My least favorite on the other hand was kundalini because of the chanting that we had to do during it. I wasn't the best at any of the flows but I was simply proud of myself for trying yoga and keeping an open mind.
Evidence of work
Below are two Journals that I wrote earlier this semester, the first is my chaturanga pose analysis. For this journal I had to take a picture in the pose and then reflect on a few things that I could do better. With that is my journal with ym goals for this year. I added them because I have since already accomplished one of my goals and found I had started to write my goals into existence.

Reflection
Taking yoga was a good experience which I learned a lot from. I left my comfort zone and just gave it a shot. I did not expect to necessarily enjoy the class but I ended up having a good time. I also got a laugh every once in a while thinking to myself "how in the world am I supposed to do that". For that reason, I believe that one of my strengths with year was my attitude. I didn't let the stuff that I couldn't do affect my performance on what I could do. Another one of my strengths was my physical fitness. I was already fit before starting yoga but the combination of soccer practice, strava activities, and 3 flows a week definitely improved my fitness. Although I had some strengths, I also had some weaknesses. The first was that I have a hard time not pushing myself 100 percent in what I do but was overwhelmed by so much activity. If I could go back I would readjust my effort to make sure I didn't push myself too hard. Additionally, my other weakness was my lack of flexibility. While the instructor had her leg extended straight out in front of her I struggled to get past my knee. Throughout the year, I saw massive improvements in these areas, but they were my clear weaknesses this year.
